Exciting news to share - A Bike Ride has been chosen to screen as part of the Opening Night Program at Rhode Island International Film Festival. Being part of an 'Opening Night Program' is a special honor and we are once again humbled by the reception the film is receiving. If you happen to find yourself in Providence on Tuesday, August 4th please come to the screening and be sure to say hello as I will be there representing the film (it's Michael "Fix" writing).
The screening will take place at Providence Performing Arts Center, 220 Weybosset Street, starting at 7pm. Tickets will likely sell out in advance so consider reserving ahead. You can learn more, purchase tickets, etc. here.
We hope you have been enjoying your summer, staying cool and perhaps... riding your bike. More festival news coming soon. Take care.

Palm Springs Shortfest experience + RIFF info
A Bike Ride had a successful World Premiere at the Palm Springs International Shortfest where the film screened to a packed house as part of the Rites of Passage program. It was very satisfying to hear the crowd react with laughter or gasps and finally with an appreciative burst of applause as the film ended. After having worked on the film in relative isolation for so long it was wonderful to feel the audience 'get' the film. Bernard, Nina, Peter and Fix were all in attendance and agreed that the crowd seemed to enjoy the film.
The other films in our program were all excellent and
complimented the central theme of the program - overall the quality of the films at the festival were exceptional and it was truly a privilege to have been chosen. Palm Springs was... hot - 109 degrees, but we made the best of it by staying cool in the cinema watching other films and spending a fair amount of time relaxing at the pool.
Next stop for A Bike Ride is the Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF), August 4-9. We will update the blog with the screening information as soon as we recieve it. The RIFF is another exceptional festival and we are excited about the opportunity to exhibit the film at such a prestigious event.
